As it was Halloween in school for the first time that I can remember, in the afternoon we had a go at a few STEM tasks. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and maths. The children were given a pack of 4 different activities per table. Some could be attempted alone; others would require some partner work. In one task the children had to design a haunted house using the nets of 3D shapes, another task involved creating a bony bed for a skeleton! A different task required the children to create a pulley for some ghosts to be carried on, whilst the final challenge had children designing some new wings for a poor bat! Please have a look at the slide show below - apologies for the blurriness of some!
