Wednesday 10th February
Below is a timetable for you to use as a guide:
Literacy: Today we are writing up our Roman Army non chronological report. Please watch the lesson input where I introduce the task. Please can you make sure when you are copying up your work you correct and spelling and punctuation mistakes I had commenting on in your feedback. Also try and add in any extra grammatical features or extra information that I may have asked you to include. Please use a double page spread to do this (A3) and think about design features. I have uploaded an example as well as some of the work children started today. We did not finish it in one lesson, so will be continuing with this in tomorrows lesson.
Guided Reading. Continuing with our Our Planet theme. Please watch the lesson input before watching the YouTube clip. We watched the clip 4 times in class- twice just watching it through listening out for key information we needed to answer the questions and then twice through while noting down the answers. You do not need to write in full sentences for this weeks work.
Break- Keep active and gets some fresh air. There are lots of exercises you can choose from in the NetFlex folder.
Maths. We are continuing with our work on money, this time comparing amounts of money. Pleas have the guided sheet to work through while watching the lesson input. Then complete one of the worksheets depending on how confident you are feeling.
Spellings. Practice the spelling rules for your new list of spellings.
Lunch- Have at least an hour and again try to get some fresh air and move about!
Times Table practice. We used the games in the Times Table Games folder to practice for our MMO test tomorrow.
Topic. This week we are making our Roman shields! Hopefully, everything you need to make your shield was delivered to you on Wednesday. If you suddenly realise you need some paint, please let me know and it can be picked up from the school office! I have uploaded step by step instructions of how we created our shields in class. It would be really great if these could be finished by Friday so we can all show them off during our Teams meeting. I have put photos of the final shields the children in class made for you to use as examples.
