Monday 1st February
The timetable I will be using in class for you to use as a guide:
Literacy: Use this time to finish your note taking if you didn't finish it last lesson. For those who have finished we played lots of grammar games in class to practice improving our sentences and using subordinating conjunctions.
Watch the escalator sentence video and then use the 'Improve Your Sentence' link below to have a go at the escalator sentence game yourself- think about how you can improve the sentence each time by adding adjectives, adverbs, extra detail or conjunctions. Click on the pink word to see an example of how you could improve the sentence each time.
Then follow the bitesize links to revise co-ordinating and subordinating conjunctions. Afterwards watch the lesson input to see how to play the game- you will need a willing partner to play against!
Guided Reading: This week we will be focusing on songs in Guided Reading. The children in class loved this! Follow the link to listen to the song for today- Count On Me by Bruno Mars and then watch the lesson input. Afterwards try and answer the questions in full sentences- there are more questions today so don't worry if you don't finish them all.
Break: Try and get some fresh air and be active- there are lots of ideas in the NetFlex folder.
Maths: Continuing with telling the time, this time to the nearest minute. Watch the lesson input and have your clocks and guided sheet with you while you watch. Afterwards, either keep testing yourself practically using a clock at home or have a go one of the worksheet levels.
Spellings: Practice your spellings ready for the test tomorrow.
Lunch: Have a long break and try and get some fresh air.
Times Tables: Practice your times tables ready for the test tomorrow.
ICT: Use the instructions to create a virtual pet on Scratch.
