Tuesday 19th January
The timetable we will be using in class, for you to use as a rough guide, is as follows:
9.15: MMO test. You will find a copy of these on our class page on the Website. Children get 5 minutes to complete the sheet and are not allowed to use any help sheets or resources to help them. If possible, please could you mark these sheets and upload them to class dojo so I can record scores and move children up if required. The photos are not always clear enough for me to be able to mark them easily so this would be a big help.
9.30-10.30- Maths. Please complete the sheet attached below which is aimed as revising all of the topics we covered before Christmas- addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. These skills are essential for the whole of our maths curriculum so it is really important the children don't forget the methods we have used! Again, please only work on this for 45 minutes - 1 hour, even if all of the boxes haven't been completed.
Make sure you have a break and try and move about or get some exercise! There are a range of activities you could choose from in a resource called NetFlex which is on our class page on the website
11-11.45- PSHE. Our topic in PSHE this term is Community, looking at who is in our community and thinking about how we can look after them as well as how we can look after the environment within our community. This seems very appropriate at the moment and so I wanted to continue with these sessions. Each session is based on a picture book, has a video of the story being read by Mrs Ashburne and has a PowerPoint which talks through questions for the children to think about as well as a task. I have uploaded the PowerPoint which could be watched on screen, and have also converted it to PDF if you would prefer to print (I would print several pages on to 1 A4 page).
11.45- Spelling test. Please test your child on list 2, spellings can be written at the back of their spelling books. It would be really helpful if you could also mark these and upload a photo of the test so I can record scores and give out dojo points.
Have a long break- at least and hour and please try and move around again and get some exercise.
Times table practice. I have put a link to a range of times table games on our class page of the website which children could use to practice their times tables. Please remember to link to division as the inverse as well.
Outdoor Learning- Below is a task sheet for this session. Your task this week is to build a Roman Marching Camp.
