Friday 4th February
Below is a timetable for you to follow as a guide. Remember we have our Teams meetings at 12 or 1.30pm. You will need your bingo cards printed ready for this session!
Literacy: Today we are writing the paragraph 'How the Roman Army Live'. I had a go at writing the report when I was very tired and it really isn't my best work! I think you could all do a much better job. Read it through and think about the items on our toolkit; fronted adverbs, adjectives, powerful verbs, nouns and generalisers. See if you can improve it before watching the lesson input. I have uploaded the shared write from class.
Guided Reading: Todays song is What a Wonderful World which might not be so familiar to you as it was written in the 60's. Please look at the first 2 questions before you listen to the song. Then watch the lesson input video before answering the rest of the questions.
Maths: We are using the 24 hour clock today to read the digital time. Some of you may prefer to continue to practice analogue times and 12 hour digital if you are not feeling confident with it. Please watch the lesson input and have the guided sheet to work through. If time, choose one of the worksheets to work through if you are feeling confident.
Topic: Please choose one of your shield designs to draw in neat. The template is the size of the shield we will be making. Some of you will need to alter your designs as we will only be using one colour as out background. You also need to make sure the detail on your shield is big enough that you will be able to draw it and cut out easily.
It is my aim to deliver everything you will need to make the shield next week; cardboard shield template, polystyrene balls, coloured paper for designs, paintbrushes and paint if required. If you would like me to deliver the paint, please write the colours you will need at the bottom of your design. I am then hoping that the final shields can be shown in our Teams meeting next week.
