8/2/21

Monday 8th February

I will be making packs up to deliver to you so you can make your Roman shield this week. Please let me know if you would like paint to be included in your pack.

Below is a timetable for you to use as a guide:

Literacy. Today we are writing the paragraph 'What did the Roman Army eat?'. Watch the lesson input and then have a go at writing your own paragraph using your boxing up as well as the non chronological report toolkit. I have uploaded a shared write we wrote in the lesson using ideas from the children's work.

Guided Reading. This week guided reading is based on clips from the Neflix documentary 'Our Planet.' Please watch the lesson input before watching the clip. I have attached the link to the clip on YouTube.  We watched it through a few times in class. These sessions focuses on auditory comprehension, which the children in class really struggled with as they had to watch and listen our for answers to the questions. Aim aim is to build up this skill throughout the week so don't worry if you child struggles to answer all of the questions today.

Break

Maths. We are starting a week on money. Todays lesson is focused on pounds and pence. Please watch the lesson input- you will need the guided sheet to work through as you are watching. I have also attached the slides I talk through in case the pictures are not clear on your worksheet. If time, please choose the level worksheet that matches how confident you feel. please stop after 45 mins- 1 hour even if you have not finished the work- the guided sheet is the priority.

Lunch.

Times tables. Practice your times tables ready for your MMO test tomorrow.

ICT. Attached are instructions to follow to create catch game.
