Monday 1st March

For this afternoon, I would like you to design zentangles around your own hands. What is a zentangle? I'm glad you asked.

Zentangles are essentially doodles of repeated patterns within a given space. In the document below you can see how some people have used them to create hair or decorate around a focus figure. In our case, it will be around our hands. Not in the hands, around them.

I would suggest that you practise designing some zentangles before you commit. You can copy the designs from the document and have a go at making some of your own. I have also linked you back to the Year 6 art subpage, which contains another zentangles document.

Draw around your hands carefully and neatly, then get creative. This work will be going on display in the hall, so try your best.
