Last weekend, Finley Burrows was magnet fishing in the rhynes between Burtle and Woolavington when he made several interesting catches.
The first was a set of old looking manacles and the second was a set of finger cuffs (see pictures). He was very surprised by his find - so surprised in fact that he decided to bring them in to school to show his classmates!
He showed them to Mr. Axten-Higgs, who photographed them and sent an email to the County Archaeology team asking for some help identifying where they came from.
We are waiting to see if anything happens, but in the meantime, we'd like to say, "Great find Finley!"
