This week school has been busy thinking about Kenya again. We were paid a visit by 4 Kenyans over to visit Crispin School. They undertook a tour of the 'feeder' primary schools and Catcott volunteered to host the party.
The group, which included the headteacher of Masana School, work closely with the teachers of our own link school in Kenya, Zululu, which is a feeder school of Masana.
The group gave a power point presentation to the whole school about Masana school and its surroundings, before spending time in Reception, Year 1 and Year 5. Both Year 1 and Year 5 have African themes to their topics this term.
It was also lovely to receive a gift from Zululu school - a poem wall-hanging - which we will display proudly in school. Our 'Friendship' books are now winging their way back to Kenya, with letters and work from our children to be given to Zululu's teachers as soon as possible.
