Abraham is called one of the fathers of Judaism. Jews believe Abraham was the first person to believe in one God; people at this time worshipped many gods. God spoke to Abraham and told him to leave his home with 3 promises: a relationship with God, numerous descendants and land. With no scriptures or traditions, he put his faith in God and left his home.
